I write a lot but mostly on a computer. I do have one nice notebook currently in use for my morning pages (three A4 side of stream of consciousness writing done first thing in the morning, basically my equivalent of your whinge diary!) and a couple that I scribble things in for work - they’re useful as I have a shoddy working memory. I’m fascinated to know what woo woo you’re into but also understand if you’d rather not say. Xx

My whinge diary started as morning pages! That is what they are really, but I was probably feeling embarrassed to call them that when I wrote this.

I’m with you with the shoddy working memory. Mine’s appalling. I used my bullet journal and a Notes note (?!) entitled ‘Short Term Memory’ for joy things down. I still miss stuff but these capture maybe ninety percent of it.

Hmmm Woo woo? I’m sort of open minded about a lot of stuff, but with a dash of cynicism (a Part of me that I am grateful for), but those particular notebooks have astrology and tarot related notes in them. Old me would be horrified! lol (PS I know very little about these things, but I find them fascinating!)

I have a few tarot sets, I think some of the symbolism is beautiful and I like using them although I’m never really sure if/why they work, they do seem to provoke thought and ideas. Oo, and they can make good writing prompts!

I like the idea of using a bullet journal in lieu of a working memory! Might copy you …

Yes, I love the symbolism and the art and the story of tarot. And I mostly use them as journaling prompts at the moment...

It took me a long time to slowly develop my bullet journal into what it is now (and it is always changing), but I love that I can make it anything I want and need it to be!

I love how you use multiple notebooks at once!! I do too, but am way more haphazard than this. I tend to write anything in whichever book is closest to hand, making trying to re-find specific notes or sketches a nightmare feat!! This is a great idea, specific books for specific things! Xx

Thank you for reading and commenting Daisy! Oh, please don't be fooled – in reality, despite technically having these different notebooks, notes often end up in random places.

I made a note in my bullet journal only this morning to remind myself to put the right notes in the right notebooks, so that I can have a chance of actually retrieving these thoughts and ideas! I sometimes go through my notebooks, using colour and lines and boxes etc, to highlight ideas that I know I will particularly want in the future...

I have a few note books on the go at once, always. No specific thing I use them for aside from the one I have for my poems. Your collection sounds lovely.

Good to see you, and thanks for sharing your beautiful notebook collection! I also have a home buried in notebooks. I'm currently in a dotted notebook phase, but manage to collect notebooks of all kinds. Somehow, I always end up returning to my trusty Moleskines, though...

Thank you Sarah. I’m glad you enjoyed seeing my notebook collection! What I didn’t photograph was my stack of old Moleskines… I’ve experimented for the last year with the Leuchtturm1917s and I’m sticking with those for now. But Moleskine has a special place in my heart!

So pleased you're back Emma. Love your notebooks, I am an absolute sucker for a pretty notebook and I do have a reasonable stack by my bed. Not up to your standard but heading there! I'm now tempted to buy more! I also have sketchbooks mixed in ❤️

Welcome back! I did notice your absence from my inbox and wondered if everything was ok. I’m sorry people are dumb and glad that you took time to take care of yourself.

Thank you Marissa. I’m feeling sad that I lost my ‘streak’, but taking some time off to take care of myself was more important. Thank you for noticing and thinking of me.
